For a fun twist to our monthly sketchwalk, we’re holding not one but TWO sketchwalks happening at both ends of Singapore, all at the same time. Join us at East Coast Park for sea views and breezy coastal scenes, or head to West Coast Park for open lawns and its iconic adventure playground!

Meeting point for East Coast Park: Amber Beacon Tower, a short walk from the underpass near Marine Parade MRT.

Meeting point for West Coast Park: Space outside of West Coast Park's McDonald, the easiest landmark to find in the park

August Sketchwalk at St. James Power Station

Hi Sketchers!

For August 2025's month end sketchwalk, we have a special collab sketchwalk at St James Power Station with Mapletree! This will be followed up with an exhibition of selected sketches, similar to our sketchwalk at Mapletree Business City and exhibition at ARC last year.

If you are keen to be considered for the exhibition, please print and fill in the release form from here: (https://docs.google.com/.../1cSorlBxGGkiV-bmp48.../edit...).

There will be a photographer on site to take photos of your sketches for the exhibition after the show-and-tell.

If you would like to join a short tour around the area (but probably not inside the Dyson office), please be present for the opening at 9:30 am. You can view the map of the heritage trail here (https://drive.google.com/.../1k48-MJah60bD.../view...)

Please be mindful that St James Power Station is currently occupied by Dyson. Avoid areas that are out of bounds so we don't activate security.

St James Power Station is our 60th National Monument and was Singapore's first power station. It was decommissioned in 1976 and has undergone different incarnations before becoming Dyson's office today.

Group Photo for National Day Sketchwalk

ALSW update

I have been busy after returning from Kuala Lumpur sketching trip, but it is a must to follow the updates on Asia Link Sketchwalk in Phuket this year from 14-17 August. I take pride in updating the logo from the old post here: https://tiastudio.blogspot.com/2023/08/asia-link-sketchwalk.html

The seed of Asia Link Sketchwalk was first planted by earlier sketching trips organised by Penang for the Georgtown Festivals in 2012 and 2014, then Sketchwalk ChaoPhraya in Bangkok 2013 and the first USk Symposium in Asia (Singapore) in 2015 continued with formalising Asia Link Sketchwalk started in Bangkok in 2016. The rest is history.

Hi Sketchers!
For July's month end sketchwalk, Sentosa has invited us to sketch at Sensoryscape, a new attraction that has been opened since March 2024! The attraction features six sensory gardens and an immersive night experience called ImagiNite, which includes augmented reality and light shows. Feel free to stay and hang around the island after the sketchwalk for the light shows at night.

Sketchers who have registered for the event last week will be receiving your free admission to enter Sentosa by email this week. Sketchers who haven't been able to register can still join us! Admission to Sentosa is $4 by monorail, $6 by cars, taxi.
