October Sketchwalk at Singapore Science Centre

Hi Sketchers!

For October 2025's month end sketchwalk, we are going to the Science Centre! USkSG and Science Centre Singapore (SCS) will be having a special collab sketchwalk at their new Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us (DEU) exhibition, which is in partnership with the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM). While we are free to sketch outside the Science Centre and in the Kinetic Garden, entrance to the DEU exhibition is by registration only. SCS has kindly given us 100 complimentary passes in exchange for having our sketches displayed in a DEU art exhibition at a later date.

- For those going for the exhibition, pass collection timing is strictly from 8:30 - 9:30 am. Latecomers will forfeit their passes.

- Due to crowd control, we will not be able to distribute passes once the doors are open to the public.

- Do not block visitors or human traffic.

- Only pencils & coloured pencils allowed indoors.

- Crayons, charcoal, pastels, wet media allowed only outdoors (Amphitheatre & Kinetic Garden) (see map in event discussion).

- Stools allowed.

12pm: Start packing your things and make your way for Show & Tell
12.15pm: Show and Tell (outside Annexe Halls)

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆:
1. Make your way to the location, be aware of surroundings, and maintain necessary distancing.
2. Challenge yourself to explore hidden corners that hasn't been seen/drawn yet; this will also help prevent too many of us crowding the same perching points.
3. Post your sketches, snapshots and videos online — 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐬 #𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐬𝐠 — so everyone can easily find the day's artistic output.
4. Some sketch leaders will go around to catch you in action for posts on Facebook and Instagram, so look out for them!
