April Sketchwalk at Kallang Basin

Credits: sketch by Kwan Boon Choon

This month’s sketchwalk will be at a small scenic stretch of park along the banks of Rochor River and Kallang Basin with a clear view of our Stadium and waterways and the opposite bank of Tanjong Rhu. The park is situated along Republic Avenue, next to the brutalist Golden Mile Complex, also known as “Little Thailand”. Feel free to go for some mookata or Thai food after sketching!

On the east bank of Kallang Basin is Singapore’s premiere sports centre with our Sports Hub and stadium, Indoor Stadium, OCBC Aquatic Centre, and more. There’s lots to sketch along the waterfront and there’s a good view of the various stadiums from across the Geylang River at Tanjong Rhu side. If you hang around till evening, you might get to catch a glimpse of the National Day preview and flypast too!
