Holland Village in Watercolour

I decided to paint a half-sheet watercolour en plein air this time, and used a little masking fluids on the windmill, lamp posts and the lettering on some of the signs.  A few sketchers were curious about the technique so I shared with them what it does and how it is done.

I'm prretty happy with the colourful result although the hot weather was getting unbearable towards the end of the session.
